Intramural Football
On October 29, Kappa Upsilon was crowned champions of the
AU Intramural Flag Football league with a 20-14 win over the AU
Law School.  Highlighted by touchdowns from Brothers Alex
Hu-Keebelbeck and Kyle Jellison, Pike A Team was led to its
first championship since 2001.

Also, the Pike-sponsored team, The Recruits, were also
victorious by winning the B League championship as well.
Coached by Brother Alex Cohill, they won handedly 24-0 on the
same day.

Photos of the day can be seen on the
Athletics page.  Congrats
to both team on a great season.

Welcome to the Kappa Upsilon chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity
at American University. Founded in 1996, Pike has quickly risen to
become one of the most prominent fraternities on campus. In only five
years after our inception, Kappa Upsilon  won awards for public relations,
rush, finance management, scholarship, pledge education, and was
deemed The Most Outstanding Chapter In The Region. In the Fall of
2006, Pike won AU's intramural football tournament. Now in the
2006-2007 academic year, Pike is looking to be better than ever. Here at
American, our diverse brotherhood can be seen in most every aspect of
life, ranging from the classroom to the Student Confederation.
Every brother adheres to the ideals of SLAG. We are Scholars,
Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen. These ideals have been present in
thousands of brothers across the United States and Canada since
Pike was formed in 1868 at the University of Virginia. Six men, on a
Sunday evening, created what is now one of the largest fraternities in
the United States. This tradition has been carried on for more than
135 years, and it will be carried on for years to come with one of the
newest chapters of Pi Kappa Alpha, Kappa Upsilon, at American
University in Washington, DC.
